🚗AutoWhat is Rizz?
"Rizz" — short for charisma — describes a person's natural ability to attract and charm others through conversation, humor, and presence. The term went viral on TikTok in 2022 and was named Oxford's Word of the Year in 2023.
The science behind charisma
- Charisma is measurable: Research by Tskhay et al. (2018) identified three core components — presence, warmth, and influence
- It's partly learned: Only ~50% of charisma is innate; the rest comes from social skills you can practice
- "Unspoken rizz" (top 12%) refers to people who attract without trying — through body language and energy alone
- Confidence matters most: Studies show perceived confidence accounts for 40% of first-impression attractiveness
Population norms
- Average score: ~30/50 — most people have moderate social charisma
- High rizz (top 15%): Score 40+ out of 50
- Low rizz (bottom 15%): Below 20
- Extroverts score ~20% higher than introverts, but introverts can have "quiet rizz"
Note: This is a fun self-assessment, not a clinical measure. Real charisma shows in how you make others feel.
